What Home Means to Me

Home is not a building, it is not just made out of bricks and wood. Home is the place where you get smothered in love and joy. When I walk into my home what I hear is the sound of happiness coming from my brothers and sisters playing. The sound of joy and love wafts through the air like the smell of freshly baked cookies. It also smells familiar. Like the smell of delicious food being made, all the lovely animals in my house, and the smell of our fireplace. The things that make home special to me are the people I share it with. My mom, dad, and all my brothers and sisters. The things that also make my home special is the community I live in. All my favourite friends live in my community. The feelings I get when I am in my home are love for my family and friends, joy for having such a lovely home, and sadness for all the animals and people that have died in the home I live in. Even though I feel sad for the animals and people who lived here before I still feel good for them because now they are probably in heaven. When I am in my house I also feel safe from any evil that wanders around the world looking for victims to make evil. If I did not have a safe place to call home I do not know what I would do.
