Home Sweet Home

Once, there was a small family who lived in a small town, an even smaller house. There was a mom, a dad, and a little girl named Everest. The mom was pregnant with a baby boy. One day when Everest came home from school, she saw a big for sale sign in the middle of her yard, the word sold was written on the sign in big red letters. The little girl's heart sank. Daddy why are we moving, she said, her eyes filling with tears. I got a new job in a city not to far from here, the dad said Putting a China vase in a box. "Will we still get to visit," the little girl said with tears dripping down her cheeks. Of course, her dad said. “OK good” Everest said with a dreary smile, she could feel the butterflies building up in her stomach. Stop dawdling and help your family pack” she heard her mom call from upstairs. “coming” Everest said and dashed upstairs. 3 weeks later the family was ready to move. “We better hurry," said the dad as they loaded up the truck. “Get in the car, we're almost ready to leave” The mom said. Everest pulled her bag over her back and got in the truck. She tried so hard to keep tears from falling but she couldn't stop it. She thought of all the memories she had there: baking cookies with her mom and Playing board games with her dad. But then she thought of all the new memories she might have and started to feel better. Suddenly her mom and dad hoped in the car have we forgot anything the dad said
