What is Home

What is Home? I know I’ve asked myself a couple of times too. So what is home? Home is where family meets, under a blanket of comfort and love. Where everyone is at peace and quiet. Where sibling fights drift away into the night. Home is where my Mom’s wonderful Shepherd's Pie fills the air with love, and hunger! Where we walk into the door excited for food. Home is where the walls hold memories of loved ones. And where the floors of little me used to walk. The ceilings of where the balloons touched on my birthdays. Home is where we open Christmas gifts, and have amazing breakfast's. Home is where we stay in Pj’s all day. Home is where we dive in the pool and where my hair floats up to the surface. Where I can relax and let my worries drown to the bottom. Home is where I can be myself. Home is at dance, where I can be myself and have fun until I drop. Home is in BC, where I run along the sand, and feel like I'm in my dreams. Home is not perfect, just like everyone. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building imperfect homes for imperfect people, because being perfect is unrealistic. So let’s all be imperfect people and have imperfect homes. That’s what makes us Unique!
