What Home Means to Me

Home, what home means to me is lots of things. For me, home encompasses many different aspects. My family is what I cherish and love most about my home. Home is also where I will grow to become a kind, strong, intelligent and beautiful girl. Every room in my home is important and holds many memories. The kitchen is where me and my family cook and make new secret family recipes. My room is where I wake up every day from my comfy bed to the sweet aroma of my mothers delicious cooking as she cooks breakfast. The living room is where me and my family gather every friday night for family movie night, with pizza and snacks like popcorn, chips and chocolate. On really cold nights we have hot chocolate with tons of marshmallows and whipped cream while we share a warm blanket that my grandmother knit for us. On summer hot nights instead of hot chocolate we have ice cream. Did you know that there's a difference between home and house? If yes, great but if not I'll tell you. A house is a permanent structure or building, a house will still be a house even if no one lives in it. Home is a place that you live in, that makes you feel that you belong there, that is the difference between a house and a home. Therefore, that is what home means to me and how much I love my home, which is also why I think homeless people deserve a roof over their heads too just like you and I do.
