The Feelings In My Home

Sitting by the fireplace with some cookies and a cup of tea. I think to myself what does home feel like to me. Home feels like a warm hug. But not all time sometimes it feels like a porcupine poking at my skin pestering me with every poke the feeling rush to me. Stress and anxiety are feelings in my home. Happiness, sadness and anger are all feelings in my home. Home isn’t just things, it is feelings and hopes, dreams, wishes, wants. Blood, sweat, and tears are in my home. Imagination and wonder are all there. Spiralling in circles, the feelings spin. I finally see what home is To ME. It's not things, it's feelings. A new idea sparks what if it's not just me who figured this out? What if I'm not alone? Maybe others feel these emotions, not just me. “Kai!” I hear my sister yell “I heard it all you are not alone” She embraces me “We all sometimes have these feelings and all of these are ok” “Home can be stressful but all you have to do is make it through”. “Thank you Annalisa for making me feel better”. Now I know I'm not alone. By Kai
