What Home Means To Me

A home to me isn’t just a wall and a roof. A home is a place where you can live alone or live with others like family or roommates. On this specific topic for roommates, people who have roommates usually charge them rent if they own the living space. For a family, it's usually where the parental figures do not charge the children rent so they usually pay from only their pockets and savings. Thats what we usually think of but, on other occasions it could be a cousin whose around the same age as you and you’re both young adults living in the same home, whoever owns the living space can charge the other rent thus making you both be able to be charged and charge rent with family. Now for your living space, you normally think of things like an apartment and a house but there are others like a retirement home, an orphanage, a pet adoption home in the sense of unadopted pets and a hospital for people who need to be in a hospital for a long period of time. Bills are next. Most things are not free, humans are the only living being on Earth that pays to live on the planet. Water bills are where all the pipes in your living space usually go for. You’re not just paying for the water you’re paying for bringing water to your home and draining it. Let's say you pay $12 for a drop of water, you're paying twice as much for bringing every drop of water to your home and draining it. For electricity bills you pay for light in your home. You’re also paying for outlets, washing machines and cooking appliances.
