The Sweet Sound of Home

Home isn’t just a place. It’s the place where you live. It’s also a feeling. The great feeling of love. And love is what holds our lives together. Home is where family is. Where vibrant colors envelope the walls and where your family holds you tight. It’s where you listen to the sound of rushing water going down a waterfall. Home is where you sit down and watch TV with your family. Where you lie down on your comfy bed to let the faint sound of silence drift you off into your dreams. Home is when you go somewhere to see vibrant lights or beautiful things. It’s where you have the joy of opening presents on your birthday. Home is where you listen to calm, sweet music while sipping a cup of hot chocolate. It’s a place where you feel safe and secure far away from danger. A place where you dance your heart away listening to enjoyable pleasing music. Home is a place where you can make mistakes and feel okay about it. Home is where you smell delicious, savory food made by your amazing parents. Where you smell the cool, crisp fresh air of the great outdoors, where adventure awaits. Home is where you sit by a warming fire and tell interesting, enjoyable stories. Home is a place of many feelings. It’s the feelings of love, laughter, joy, and happiness. It can also hold other emotions like, sadness, disgust, anger, and jealousy. Emotions can be complicated sometimes. That’s why there are so many out there. Home to me is where family is.
