What Home Means to Me

A home isn't just a place that protects you from rain and snow, A home is where you can be yourself and grow, It provides you comfort even when you are in the deepest of sorrows, For days to come, including tomorrow. In my home, I can truly be myself, I know that there's a place for me on the shelf, As long as I'm with those who I love the most, I can't be afraid of anything, including ghosts. As you explore and wander, In each and every corner, Moments precious as gold, Can be made and remembered till you grow old. Teardrops can be shed, sadness might come, But it will all go away and turn into greatsome, Home is the place where I can always be honest, Home is the place where I always feel the warmest. A cozy blanket for when I sleep, A toothbrush to brush my teeth, Food to eat, water to drink, Beside my home there's an ice rink. A family to comfort me when I feel sad, I have no reasons to become mad, Every once in a while, I get hugged, I definitely know that I am loved. I am thankful for this place I am living in, The place that I have mostly been, It gives me shelter, It is definitely one of my helpers. Everyone deserves a place to stay, Even when they visit somewhere far away, The place where I can freely roam, This is my home!
