Home is Wherever you Want it to be

Sleeping in bed, I wondered about home. Home is heart to heart conversations and kindness and love that sprinkles everywhere. It’s where the world is and it’s where I am. It’s where tons of memories are kept and made. As I zoned out, continuing to think about home, it was like I was finding the true meaning of home. But home is what you want it to be, and home to me is probably very different to you. Home is when you can hear the nostalgic mayhem that happens every day, your family talking to you and tasting your mom’s wonderful home-made food that is not only tasty, but appetizing. Home is when your bed feels comfy and the feeling of the hard and wooden floors that are stepped on every single day. Home isn’t just a building. It can be glancing at the snow, rain or the sunshine outside. It’s smelling the scent of my loved ones. It is the meaning of life to me. By then, I had fallen asleep and I heard my mother whisper “goodnight” in such a peaceful way that it was like the ending of a fairytale. Home is your start and your end.
