My Home on the Ice

A house is a structure, a place where you live. A house can have your family, your partner, or just you. A home can be a person, a place, or a thing. For me, my home is on the ice, in the net. I love the adrenaline it gives me. I love the challenge it poses. I love how my team congratulates me if we win. All my worries just fly away on the ice. I like the rebounds, how when you block the puck, you have to think quick and act quick. Sometimes there is no thought at all, it's just instinct, and I've stopped the puck. I like when the pucks are raised. For me it is fun, to raise my arm and catch it. Hockey is the way I make new friends, the way I see new places in tournaments. Overall, hockey is my everything, and my home is on the ice.
