A Story About Home and Community

Once upon a time there were two girls who lived in a house and hated each other. They kept begging their parents to move away. Their parents kept saying the same thing every time ''Not until you guys are friends.'' They eventually moved into different houses but still hated each other. Then it was their first day at their new school. They were so nervous when they saw each other. The first day they didn't talk. The second day they talked and started to like each other and found a lot of stuff in common. They were building a home, a community they started cleaning up the town they lived in and they got other people to help. Eventually there were hundreds of people helping build a community. They were picking up garbage, growing gardens, and growing mustard seeds every month! They were even building homes for homeless people and raising money for them too! The next week they went to school and sat at the same table during lunch. And then that very next week those girls were on the news for building a community. After that they both were begging their parents to live in the same house and eventually they did. Everywhere they went they built a community! They were so proud of themselves. They felt safe because they felt like they were home.
