My Perfect and Messy Home

My house is like a volcano, it seems calm until it erupts. In the beginning of the morning all I hear is quiet. Silence. Until I step outside, loud talking surrounds me as all the other noises fill my ears. I feel the comfy new carpet on my freezing feet. This is the part of the volcano when it’s just boiling, and no one knows. My parents and my sister are bustling to get to work and school as I just chill. I head in my room as I hear my sister and dad arguing about being late. I sing a song in my head as I get changed into my fresh new clothes. Now this is the part of the volcano where there are a few loud rumbles, but people just think it is the sound of the motors in their cars. I leave my room feeling like a whole new person because I don’t have that crusty pajama feeling when you wake up. I grab my precious blanket, which I named blankie and walk out of my room. My mom greets me with a kiss and says “Have a good day! I got go, love you. Bye!” I say love you back as she walks into the garage. My sister and my dad both say “Bye! Have a great day!” I say “Bye!! Have a great day too!” They leave and now the volcano erupts!!!!! The workers for my renovations come and put their music on and start to shout over it. Then I go downstairs into my basement, and the party starts! I get a muffin to eat for breakfast and turn on the TV. I wait for when it’s time to go get ready for school, but until then I watch my favorite show Raven’s Home. I am so grateful to have a lovely home and family who love me so much. When I leave to go to school, I think about how lucky I am to have not one, but TWO homes! That’s why I appreciate Habitat for Humanity for making the less fortunate have the ability to have a home so they can have the same experience as me.
