What is Home to me?

Home. Home is where I am loved, sleep, and cared for. Home is where I feel safe in the darkest of times. To me home isn’t a structure, it is where my family is. Home is where I grow and where I am free to be myself. Home is where people understand the hardships and problems I face. It is where my friends can listen to me. And in times of need they stand by me. Home is where people are there for you. If home is where I am I must go on and make it a better place. One of my favorite places is my garden. It reminds me of my youth, when the world around me felt magical. A place where I could go and wander, running barefoot through the grass, picking fresh fruits from the trees. It reminds me of when I was a child, living in a simple town with simple people. The sun, the grass, the birds singing the tunes. I’m ecstatic during spring. The cherry blossoms are blooming, the grass is in full bloom, and the only flowers in my garden are some dandelions. I feel joy run through me when I pluck them and watch ligule petals blow in the wind. Home is where I am and where I love the people around me. I will grow a home one that has to be. One that shows and gives love. One that will pass down generations to show love and gratitude to those who are around.
