Meaning of Home

Home. We are all so lucky to have it. It is a place to sleep, a place to eat, and somewhere we can be safe. At Home I feel safe. I am in a stable home which doesn't move much. My brother makes me feel secure and my parents keep me safe. To me safety means a warm bed, delicious food. It means love, laughter and stability. If anyone upsets me, I can go home and get support, comfort and advice. It is encouragement and cheer in all the things I do. It supports all of my ideas and projects regardless of how crazy they may sound. In my home I feel loved. My parents love me, my brother loves me. My parents do so much for me all because they love me. To be loved is to be encouraged. It is pancakes for breakfast, small things every day. It is care and support. Family board games and spending time together is love. To be loved is to always be taken care of. Home is where friends are. My friends, my parents' friends and our relatives are all a part of my home. At home we watch movies, we bake together, we play games and we tell stories. We go camping and we go on road trips and we have fun. We do crafts and fun activities and do gardening and I read with my parents. This is what home means to me. I am lucky to have my home. Habitat of Humanity gives other people this opportunity. I hope that many more people get these amazing things in their lives.
