The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home to me is not so much a place as it is a feeling. Example if I’m at a friend’s house and we are having so much fun it feels like it's my home. Sometimes it’s the feeling that I’m loved. I also think that home can be a thing like my cat, being around him makes me feel at home no matter where we are. He always makes me so happy! It would be hard to narrow it down to one thing or place to call home. Sometimes even my house doesn’t even feel like my home. I have two homes, my dad’s house and my mom’s house; at my mom’s house it can be a zoo sometimes. My mom’s girlfriend has 2 kids and takes care of a lady who is deaf and in a wheelchair. Altogether I have 2 sisters, 1 brother, 2 moms, my stepmom’s roommate and 2 cats. On the other hand, at my dad’s house, it can be quiet, one of my sisters is named Mak she is my only blood sibling out of 3 all together, our family is complicated but to simplify it. My mom and dad are divorced so me and Mak go back and forth between our mom’s and our dad’s house. My 2 other siblings Gavin and Hope stay at my mom’s house because they are not related to my dad. In my family, including both my mom and dad, we have 3 cats. The 2 at my mom’s house are technically owned by Gavin and Hope, while at my dad’s our cat is owned by all of us. As I said before I don’t think my home could be narrowed down to one thing, place or person but my very big family makes me feel like home. Home is a special place, always hope it doesn’t get taken away.
