Why You Should Be Grateful

People don’t have a family to be there with them during hard times. They don’t have any food like we do, they have to beg off the streets and they don’t have homes. It's hard for them to stay in the cold in the winter. They don’t have warm food to fill their stomachs, instead they have just nothing to fill their stomachs when terrible things happen to them. They don’t have anything to keep them safe like warm clothes, nice food and a shelter to keep them warm. So I would like to talk to you about Habitat for Humanity. First i would like to talk about family are people that never give up on you even during hard times I remember when I was younger I was really scared of the dark but my little sister said to me “Sister if you come down to the basement with me we can both face our fears'' and at that moment I knew she was trying to help me out . And another thing happened when I had a school project .My parents and Auntie decided to help me out because I didn't know have to do it by myself, so I thought i would never be able to do it because I didn’t have the materials to do it so my parents and Aunt helped me. After that I was able to finish it when it was due.I felt so happy for my family to do those things for me. Second thing I would like to talk about is safety, safety is a thing people or animals do to protect you when you are in a spot where there is fire or something dangerous . One time me, my dad and my sister were cooking tacos for the family. My dad let me go cook the food on the stove. I almost burnt myself so my dad went back and took me to the sink to wash the oil away so I wouldn't actually get burnt and my sister said “ Are you ok?” I replied yes. And when I was at school me and my friends tried to jump off the tallest part of the monkey bars and I was going second. When I was going to jump my friends put their jackets on the wood chips so I wouldn't land on the wood chips and get a splinter. I thought that was really nice so I jumped while they were cheering my name and I did it. They said great job Sadie and I felt really happy that they tried to keep me safe when I jumped . Lastly, I just want to say thank you for letting me talk about the reasons about family and safety for Habitat for Humanity . I just wish that people will get the chance to have a home like some people. I just hope in the future people will get a home and not a tent in dangerous places .
