Where My Heart Lives

House. A structure with four walls a roof and a door. Home. A place where everything means so much more. Having your own address hanging above your door makes home mean so much more, because that makes it yours having your own number on your door of your home. Your home is a special place for you to be you. As you go through the door with your address hanging above, you walk into the kitchen where my mom is cooking her famous roast chicken with smooth mashed potatoes and thick gravy. Just from getting a small whiff I can taste the scrumptious meal. As you leave the kitchen and the aroma of the home cooked meal, you enter the living room. Laughter fills the room as my family sits and watches silly a movie and play wacky games. Like Root Beer Float, my favourite. The living room is a place to get cozy with my family or get messy and let your imagination run wild. My home lives in my heart, my heart lives in my home, and Habitat for Humanity will help so many others be able to say that too.
