A Big Home

1. Home to me means being safe and loved and all those warm fuzzy feelings. Houses are just buildings, but home is like an extra member of your family. Home reminds me of those little cottages on the river where the people just sit on the dock, relax, and watch the winding river flow - that is home for me. If home were a delicious burger, I would be its salty fries. You know how people say, “home’s not just a building?” They’re right, home is a community filled with kind people giving a helping hand to make that community a nice big home. That home would constantly grow and next thing you know, everyone is in that nice big home. When you’re home, you are your true self, but what if you were in a big home? Wouldn't it be cool to be friends with everyone in your community? For all you know your best friend is the next Neil Armstrong who will put your flag on the moon. It is like a school in a way - your teachers are the mayors, president's etc., the students are the population, vending machines are the grocery stores, classrooms are the offices, and washrooms are, well washrooms. So, a school is within a community, however, it’s a special and unique place. It is an entirely different community that includes people not buildings. These people range from friends to family. Think about it, a community filled with everyone from me to you. 2. Home is a safe haven, it’s like a dome, When you step out it’s like a drought, When you’re in, you’re humble when you step out, you stumble, You never want to part but when you do it hurts your heart, Home is a memory like a book in a library, Home is a feeling like a banana peeling, Home is love like the clouds high above.
