What is home?

Home is a often place where new memories are made Home is a place where old memories fade A cycle like this continues for long Until a new family comes along Home is somewhere you can go And home is somewhere you know That everyone there will give a piece of their share To make everything peaceful and fair Home is a community, your family and/or friend Or maybe just someone who’s with you till the end Even on the streets, your home might be there Because at least you have some people who care But maybe for some of you, none of this is right Because your mom or dad always chooses to fight Or maybe your parents drink away And choose to ill-treat you or ignore you all day So now your “home” is filled with fear Sadness and anger that makes you want to disappear It is quite unfortunate for those souls out there And I hope they find a better home elsewhere I want to give Habitats a bless Giving people a place for less I really hope the people out there know That I hope they have or find a good safe home And thanks for reading my poem!
