This Is My Home

Sunsets peek through my kitchen window, like a baby peeks over the edge of a crib. Going on walks in the heavy rain, and coming inside to the delicious smell of dinner in the oven. Running upstairs and sitting on my bed, book pages tight in my grasp. Leaves dancing in the light Autumn breeze, wind brushing my face like a brush goes across the surface of a canvas. Sleep in a bed that’s as soft as a feather, sleep as deep as the sea. Waking up to the sound of walking, quiet and discrete. Home is my memories, my home is mine. Just like your home is your’s, and it’s of your design. Everyone deserves a place to call home, so I’m thankful to Habitat to Humanity for making that possible for everybody.
