Home Contest

January Today at school, my teacher Mrs. B said that we were going to start something different with language. What we were going to do was called “Meaning of Home Contest.” The teacher explained that it was a contest about what home means to you. So, I got my notebook and brainstormed ideas. I got words which were helpful, magnificent, optimistic, and embracing. I planned to write a couple of paragraphs. The contest said there had to be more than 50 words and less than 300. So, I wrote the paragraphs: “What HOME Means to me” By Jiyeon Lee “What home means to me is that it’s a Helpful, Optimistic, Magnificent, and Embracing place.” “Home is a Helpful place because when there is cold weather, I would be safe instead of getting sick.” “My home is an Optimistic place, because it’s always colorful and happy.” “Home is always Magnificent, because I have space to tidy my junks and make a design to make my home feel magnificent.” “My home is an Embracing place because it’s like the most important place in my life.” I have about 92 words, which is not that bad, it was just about the middle. Like I said, I think home is the most important thing in my life. If I lived without it, I would look like I lived in a jungle. At least the judge will like it, but if not, I am glad I wrote it anyway.
