House and Home

Lots of people have a house, Not a lot of people have a place that feels like home. A house has people, A home has love. In a house you can feel the bricks on your wall, In a home you can feel the love from others around you. A house has a fireplace. A home has warmth. In a house I see a empty oven with nothing inside, At home I see my family eating the cookies straight out of the oven. A house is empty. A home is full. In a house I can hear the walls cracking, At home I can hear fun and laughter coming from my family. The house is quiet. The home is loud. A house puts a roof over my head, A home protects me through the ups and downs. A house keeps me dry. A home keeps me protected. In a house, someone is not always there to support me. Me, Myself and I In a home someone is always there for me and comforting me no matter what. Mom, Dad, brothers, cousins. I want Habitat for Humanity to help so many families out there have a place that feels like home. Feel it. Cherish it. Love it.
