What Home Means to Me

Home means a place where you laugh and have memories together as a family., like celebrating Christmas with your family or enjoying winter, summer and spring breaks together. The most important part is having fun with your family. Home is a place where you feel safe with your family around four big walls and one large roof and don’t feel threatened or scared of anything. In my opinion, I feel the most safe on cold winter nights in the holiday season, drinking hot chocolate with loved ones. Home means a place with a safe neighbourhood surrounded by friends and family around you. Home is a place where you can go and do whatever you want freely without anybody judging you or making fun of you for what you do. Home is a safe and happy place to call your friends and eat your moms delicious baked holiday cookies. The 5 senses of home Smell Home smells like baked holiday cookies out of the oven and cherishing them with your family by the fireplace on cold winter nights Sound If home was a sound you would hear your family's laughter while watching a comedy movie on family movie night. Touch If home was a touch you would feel the cozy warm bed on cold nights and you would be all cuddled up when you sleep. Sight If home were a sight you would see your family trying to make your home look as cozy as possible for your smile and for you to be safe. Taste If home were a taste it would taste like all of the healthy foods your mom makes for you to not feel sick and instead be safe. That’s what home means to me.
