5 Senses of Home

If home were a smell, it would smell like fresh meals on the stove made especially for you. Home could smell like your clean sheets, fresh and cozy as you curl into bed at night. If home were a taste, it would be like delicious meals made with love. Or fresh baked cookies, even muffins. If home were a noise, it would sound like the T.V when your siblings watch cartoons or your parents watch the news. It could sound like your siblings playing with toys and your parents talking about work in the kitchen. If home were a sight, you would see your loved ones watching over you. You would look out of the window and see all of the birds flying free with not a care in the world outside. If home were something you could touch it would feel like the hugs and kisses of your loved ones. Where you feel safe and you can be you without worrying if someone will judge you or not. There is always a place that you belong, and there’s always a home for you. There is always a person there for you no matter who they are, right by your side or miles apart they are there, there for you.
