What Home Means to Me

What home means to me is, home is a place where you can just wear your sweatpants and relax while eating junk food. But a house on the other hand is a place where you live. In my home you hear my sister singing as well as my mom and dad talking. And you hear towards bedtime I love you. Those precious words never take those for granted. In my home you smell my mom’s cooking and baking also. And outside you smell BBQ and lots of fresh air. In my home you smell my mom’s baking and cooking, cookies, cake, bread, and more baking. They all taste delicious. In my home you feel a lot of love, safeness, and I always feel thankful. In my home you see my sister, my dad, my mom, my fish, and my family surrounding me. That is what you smell, taste, feel, see, and hear in my home. What I wish for. I wish for other people to have a home. A place where they feel safe and loved. So many people in Ukraine had to leave their homes so then they could be safe. Some of those people came to our school. And even in Turkey there was a massive earthquake. People saw their homes be destroyed. Imagine if you saw your home crumble to the ground. I don’t know about you, but I would feel sad if I saw my house crumble to the ground. Homeless people too they live on the street, and we have a nice warm home to live in. and in Winnipeg most homeless people live downtown and it is not very safe. That is why I wish for everyone to have a home. That is what home means to me!
