My Time At Home

Home means a place where I’m loved like when I am in my bed all snuggled up. Me tucked up in bed feeling safe and calm and thinking how lucky I am to have a home like this. Home is a place where you make lots of memories and those memories are hanging up on your walls. I feel free in my home like no where else. I feel happy like something exciting will happen that hasn't happened before. Sometimes I feel mad or frustrated, but I get over it or I just wait until the next day. A home is a place where my family supports me and protects me. When it is a rainy and gloomy day, my home makes me laugh. I make others laugh too. Home is a place where I hear the sounds of talking, singing and dancing. When I do this, I feel like me. At home I feel special and well treated. I feel homey. My room is crowded like there is a zoo, but it’s not crazy. Every morning I wake up and go downstairs to have my favorite breakfast - oatmeal and syrup. I am lucky I have money so I can buy the yummy warm oatmeal and the sticky sweet messy syrup I love. One time when I was four years old, my family and I went around the city and gave people without a home a bag of food, water and a warm clothes. I was too scared to give a man the bag because he looked scary and mean. I wish I could go back and give that man what I have - a beautiful home and a spectacular family. I am so lucky to have a home!
