Four Seasons of Home

Home to me isn’t just a place where I sleep or just live, home is where you’re with family and having unforgettable memories. What home means to me is when I’m near the fire drinking hot chocolate with my three sisters. Home to me is also when it’s a snowy day outside, and my sisters and I have a snowball fight and stay outside for hours. Home to me is when my dad and I make cookies and tell jokes to each other. Outside during the summer days playing in my pool with my family is home to me. Taking my dogs out on a walk with my little sister is home to me. Going fishing with my mom until sun down, and catching nothing or maybe catching a whole bunch of fish is home to me. My home to me is when it’s fall and my little sister and I play in the leaves, and do crafts with our grandma. My home to me is when my older sister and I watch the beautiful leaves fall from the trees. My home to me is when my dogs and I play catch in the leaves. Every spring playing in the puddles with my sisters is home to me. Coming inside all wet from the rain is home to me. Going on family walks and looking at all the beautiful flowers is home to me. Picking flowers for my mom and feeling happy inside when I give them to her is home to me. Some people think their home is just a place where they feel safe, which is true, but some people have to think about what home is really about. About family and memories that make you feel happy inside.
