A House and A Home

A house is a place made up of walls and a roof , A home is a mindset and a feeling that tells you the truth. A house is a blank slate with nothing to prove, But a home has memories in every spot you move. A house has no marks of wear at all, A home has scratches and dents on every wall. A house is a place you are exposed, But home is the knowledge that you are enclosed. A house is where your feelings are pushed down, A home is a place where your sorrows will drown. A house is a building you don’t own, A home is four walls you make your own. Sometimes you have a house before your home, But you will always find your special place to roam. A home can mean different things to you and me, But a home will always be a place you are free. A home to me is the place I have known, And a place I have grown. Habitat for Humanity has really grown , And I think everyone deserves a home.
