What Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me By Isabella Raposo My home is the place where I can go on a stormy night, My home is the place to go when I have a fright. Wrap up in my favorite blanket As I watch a delightful show. When I hear the midnight rain fall slow, As my L.E.D lights glow. Wake up on a sunny morning As I see my parents hugging, Eating my crunchy cereal as I yell coming Siblings are calling my name as they are running. “It's the weekend,” they say as I'm walking up the stairs humming. My house has lots and lots of memories good and bad, Like the one time I had a bad fall it was pretty bad. Or there was the time when we had a big family movie night! But there are also in the middle memories like when I first moved in on a starry night. When I walk in those doors I know I belong, As I finally hear everyone getting along. Thinking what will happen next As we listen to a song And that is how I know I belong . That is what home means to me. A place filled with love and joy! Where you go through rough and good times what I enjoy, A place where sometimes I get annoyed But home is home and I LOVE HOME!
