What Home Means to Me

To most people home is any place in their heart. To me, home is anywhere my family and friends are found. Home is meant to be a safe place to make memories. I think that home kind of relates to the movie Inside Out. In it the characters all kind of argue and have their own opinions. However they all need each other in order to operate. Even though sometimes there are some problems, home is always a place where I can feel safe and loved. For me, home feels like a hot fire on a cozy summer night when camping. Home sounds like my dad and grandpa laughing about whatever is funny to them such as screaming goats. Home looks like a bright day with rays pouring through the windows with the dogs lying quietly in the beams. Home tastes like freshly homemade lasagna with wobbly noodles and smooth tomato sauce. Home smells like lemongrass essential oil put into the diffuse. Home feels as if it was a library, welcoming and peaceful, with different things to do and see, as if you were to just pick a memory off a shelf and read it. Home is not a physical place to me but a place where my friends and family are.
