What Home Means to Me

Home means a place to be with family and to live in peace. A house is just a building with windows, doors, and rooms. A home can have friends, pets, and the people who you love. A house can be big, small, square, etc. A home is a place where you can feel safe. It can have the smell of homemade food and people you can relax with. Home is wherever your family is, even in your heart. Even if you have tough times you will get through them together. Having a home means you can watch tv, play games in the snow, or play board games. It also means you have a place to eat, sleep, relax, and more, maybe you have a strong connection with your neighbours and neighbourhood. Home is wherever your family is whether it’s a trailer, a tent, or even an apartment. You can go there when you need help, it's your happy place and a place of comfort and warmth in the cold. You make memories and have fun. You will make memories in your house, good or bad, but they are memories you will keep and cherish.
