The Meaning of Home

Home can be any size It doesn’t have to be seen with your eyes It can be a world in your imagination A large box that’s your own creation Home could be as large as the galaxy Or possibly as vast as the sea It could be as small as a closet Maybe even a branch in a tree It’s somewhere you trust With no hatred or disgust Maybe do some great things Who knows what it brings Home is your own Whether with friends or alone It’s something you will always adore Because it will always be yours Home is a place that you will always know Remember, value, and love forever No matter how much you learn and grow Home will be there if you want it to be It will always be in your heart A place you will always want to see One reason that I am writing this poem Is for the people who don’t have a home Or a place where they will always love As much as the clear blue sky up above I hope we can always help those of you To find a home that’s cozy and new If you haven’t found a place like this Make sure to look really hard for one Until you find this special place you missed A home full of joy, laughter, and fun Home is a thing to cherish and enjoy Always remember those great, special times Remember to never treat it like a toy Home is where you need to go to sometimes To cry or to laugh in, whatever you need Remember your home and please let me know That no matter if you fail or succeed The meaning of home is a free place to go
