Anywhere Is Home

A home is a place A place that has love and fun A place with safety A place where warm hearts can stay A place with a family. Loved hearts make a home A place for self-expression A place to do things A place where you know you’re loved A place to be grateful for. Memories make home Home can be fun in the sun, Hot cocoa for cold, Jumping in the leaves at Fall Flowers blossom during spring. In the spring we go to places and things We have fun and love We like to go for Ice Cream And then we have some more fun. In winter I go In my backyard for sledding I have snowball fights, And then I have hot coco In Winnipeg it’s winter. Summer means outdoors, When you’re outdoors it's nature Cottage at the beach, Cottages also mean home Sand castles, floaties and fun. In the fall I jump, I jump in the leaves for fun Then I go shower I go shower to be clean I can do all that at home What I’m saying is, Home is a wonderful place A place to feel safe, A place where all hearts feel loved, A place to have cheer and joy. Home is anywhere, It can be on a bench, It can be in the nature Anywhere to feel feelings It’s a grateful place Not all people have homes, Some people need homes to live They need to have food and joy, And that’s what this poem is for.
