What home means to me

Home feels like family to me because I love my family. My family is my Mom, Dad, Theia, Storm and Mishka but even though we live in separate homes they both still feel like home to me. Having two separate houses can sometimes be sad and hard because I don't get to see both of my parents at the same time. I’m so lucky that I have equal time with my parents. Any house I’m in I have some friends. Sometimes I feel safe because I can talk about my emotions. Home feels safer with my Mom because there are no lies at my Mom’s house. I can read books and play games without worrying. Home feels like helping because we help each other out when we're doing chores. My chores are doing the dishwasher, laundry, taking out the trash with my Mom, I sometimes help my Mom with the dogs and I gain a new chore each year. Having separate houses doesn’t mean I don’t love my parents, I really love them no matter what. My parents love me too. My home feels protected because when someone is sick we would keep him or her safe. We give them medicine, cuddles, water and keep them warm when they're cold. My home feels caring because we care about each other. One of the best things about what home means to me is that I can play games with my family which is so fun and makes me really happy. We share and make sure everyone is happy. At the end of the day no matter what house I’m in my Mom or my Dad tell me to go to sleep in my comfortable bed. My Mom or my Dad made sure that I had everything I needed but it doesn’t mean what I want. In any house I’m in I am the big sister which means I’m responsible for my little sister. I am responsible for my little sister because I play with her, care for her and make sure she is not bullied.
