What a Home Means to Me

Some may say a home is just a building or an apartment, which is true but it’s a lot more than a physical structure. A home is a place filled with love, encouragement, and a family that sticks together, no matter what. A house is made using wood, bricks, stone, stucco, and a few other things, but a home is created with love, kindness, understanding, laughter, and making memories. I believe a home is a place where friends and families connect with each other and to experience what having a home is like and how lucky they are to have a home, and believe it or not there is a huge difference between a house and a home. Having a house is one thing when growing up but having a home is a whole different story. Regardless of wealth, profession, and other materialistic things, everyone deserves a home. That’s one of the reasons why I chose to do this entry, because I want to help others in my community to raise money to build homes. Everyone deserves a chance to build a home with those who are closest to them, no matter what. So the bottom line of this entry is that everyone deserves a home and that there is a huge difference between a house and a home.
