Home for Humanity

A home is a place where I always feel safe, A place where I can both play and work safe. A home is where I comb my hair, When I have nightmares I always know I'm safe. All my favourite memories, The family portraits on the wall, Walking down the big tall hall. My horses are so safe, not needing a stall. Your house may be small or tall, Either way it's your family's walls that you walk by. Even when you get hurt, it's hard to cry when you know that you're safe. I never feel the need to race, I never want to replace my home. My house is where I first traced my hand, Every year my house expands. And I feel sad for people that stand, Without a home. I hope that someday they will overcome Monthly bills, big problems. I wish everyone could have a home.
