Home

Home has its own meaning. It can be multiple things. It can be a feeling or it can be a place of safety, comfort and peace for a family that needs it. For me home is family, pets and memories. When I arrive home my parents greet me with hugs. My mom makes delicious food for dinner. My dad helps me with my homework. My brother greets me by talking about trains and other stuff. I love my family for all the love they give me. The feeling of being with them is a good feeling. My pets are the most encouraging of my family. They are just so cute that when I’m sad they try to make me feel better. My parakeets, Skyler(Sky for short) and Lightning are very important to me. They help a lot with my mental health like when I am sad, stressed, depressed, or angry. The way I feel around them is comforting. I love the love my pets give me. The memories that are binded to my home are precious. I have lived in the same house for 12 years. I love to visit my cat’s grave in my backyard. I know my house so well I can find anything in the dark. I like my location because I have a meadow and forest nearby that I can escape from the world. The forest is beautiful and I would play in it for hours. I love this place that I grew up in. Habitat for Humanity is trying to make more affordable housing for the people who struggle to afford the cost of living. I hope that everyone will be able to feel at home.
