Meaning of Home

To me home means warmth, safety, and a roof over my head. I am lucky to have heat and electricity in my home as well as my family beside me to keep me warm. I have my mom, dad, and brother. My brother may make fun of me but I still love him. To me family means watching tv with my brother and playing video games with my parents ,petting my dog and having our pizza nights. In these activities, I find warmth and comfort. Safety is something I feel at home. I know I can't get hurt with my parents around, I feel safe and away from bullies, I feel the protection of my family around me and I know nothing can hurt me. My dog is strong, brave and loyal along with my family. I get lots of training by playing video games too. I know that I am safe in my home. At home I have a roof over my head and I have protection against snow, rain and lightning. I don't have to sleep under the stars and I have my own bed, my own room, my house as well. I have love for my family and friends and my dog. Some people aren’t as fortunate. I know how lucky I am to have a roof over my head. I'm happy my life is like this but sometimes I wonder what life is like for those people who don't have those things and I hope Habitat for Humanity will make a difference for these people.
