There is no place like home - by Lyla Su
Dorothy once said, “There is no place like home.”
I agree, it is not where I leave my comb
Home is my family and my friends
Home is where love never ends
Home is not the four walls or a roof
Home is my dog, Bella who goes woof woof
Like the Wizard in Oz, who gives out courage, a brain and a heart
Home gives you unconditional love and a chance to always restart
Home gives you memories, happy and even those that are sad
Home is dancing with my mom and laughing with my dad
Dorothy once said, “There is no place like home.”
I agree, it is not where my mom keeps her garden genomes
Home is my little cousins, who like to throws toys
Home is being around my family during times of sorrow and joy
Unlike the scarecrow, the lion and tin man, who were first all alone
Home is all the friends that you haven’t outgrown
Home is my bestie and I, doing make up and writing songs
Home was love all along
Dorothy once said, “There is no place like home.”
