A Warm Home
I came back to a warm home
That warms my heart like a fire warms your toes.
My heart is where my home is
And in my heart my mom gives me a big hug and kiss.
I realize that a host is just concrete and brick
But home is not 'cause it has love inside and it fits.
When I'm waiting for my mom to come home
I realize that I am alone!
I cry and weep
Until I fall asleep
But when I woke up I see my mom near!
I can't wait for her to be next to me right here!
I run downstairs to see my mother
And with her I see my sister, dad, and brother!
Then they come inside our warm home
And I'm happy, safe, and not alone.
My mom cooks dinner that I can smell
And I sit down for dinner all good and well.
Now I am happy and I already ate
In a warm home I'll try not to go to bed late!
