Meaning of Home

Everyone is lucky to have a house and a roof above their head. But some people don't have a house and they are struggling to survive. These paragraphs talk about why home is important and why everyone worldwide should be grateful for what they have. Homes need to be a safe place. When you have a home you don't feel scared because homes are super safe, and it protects you from criminals. If you don’t have a home, people can take your belongings easily. If you don't have a home you will have nowhere to go to. Some homeless people have their belongings out for everyone to see and maybe even steal! Homeless people are not safe because they don't have a house to protect them, and their belongings. So we have to be happy that we have a roof above our head. Homes need to be comfortable for the people who live in it. Everyone has a home that feels so comfortable but some people don't get that kind of shelter. Some people have a very dirty and super uncomfortable house to live inside of. Charmaine and Melody once bought a house. Melody was in a wheelchair so she couldn't get to her son's room because the floor was not flat.Also the house was cockroach infested! Everyone has to have a home that's comfortable to live in so they don't have to move all the time. Homes helps us with survival. Homes help us live longer and survive with food and water easily. Some homeless people are struggling to survive with no place to go to. Think about how homeless people live, taking food from the trash and barely any water to drink around them. Homes will keep us healthy! We should all be grateful because we have a house, which many people don’t have at all. This essay shows how lucky we are and what homes mean to us as a community.
