What Home Means to Me

Home is when the darkest moments of your life are shared between the walls of your home. Hung up by a frame of memories. Sometimes it feels like you will never be happy. You search high and low for that happiness you crave for. When you find it, you reach as far as you can until you can almost touch it. But it floats away like a paper boat on a flooded road. It drifts off until it is out of sight. It is painful like you have just been stabbed in the heart. But it could be right in front of your door, waiting to be shared with others. A home is where you feel safe and comfortable. A place where you can be yourself without being judged or laughed at. Full of love and happiness. It doesn’t matter where you call home, it matters that you feel safe in that special place. That’s what home means to me.
