My Meaning of Home
Did you know that over 20% of people in the world need homes? However, home is not always physical. Home means different things to different people. In my opinion, home means, the pets, people, and surroundings.
Pets are a part of home because, if you've had them before, or know people who do, your house can feel empty without. I had a cat who I had to give away, and for years, the house felt empty without him. Then, near the start of the pandemic, I got guinea pigs. I’m much happier with them here!
People around you are part of home because, sometimes, you don't feel as at home with your family than you do with others. I feel a lot more at home with my friends than with my family. This is not the case for everyone, however. Some people may spend their whole lives with their family!
Surroundings are a big part of home because, depending on who you are, you may feel more at home in different places. For example, you could be rich and live in a mansion, but not be happy. You could have a small townhouse, and be having the time of your life. If you feel most at home where you are, then you've found a good place. Sometimes though, you may want to change things.
