What is a Home?

Many people think a home is just a mere building, or a small apartment, but I believe those people are wrong. A house is a building, or a place to live in, but a home is not just a place nor is it a thing. It’s more of a feeling. You have to feel comfortable in the place or space that you’re in. If you are not comfortable in the place or the space you’re in, it doesn’t feel that homey and your home should feel safe and secure so you are not afraid to be at your home. What if your friend lives in a house that is made out of brick and you go inside like to visit and it’s not cozy or colourful, would you feel like you’re at home? When your friend’s parents say to make yourself at home, would you say you feel safe and secure at their house? I would not because, a home for me is cozy and colourful and that’s where I would feel like I am at home. Perhaps you go to a different friend’s house that is cozy and colourful, and your friend says, make yourself at home would you feel safe and secure at that house? I would because that’s what a home is to me. Cozy, Colourful, Safe and Secure. Homes feels like a warm hug when you’re sad, Home feels like sunshine when you’re cold. Home feels like love. Home is where you can go when you need to cheer up. My home is where I can go when I feel sad it’s colourful, and when I am sad I can curl up next to my cat. My cat always cheers me up when I am down. I am not afraid to go to my home. If you don’t have a sibling or a pet then talk to someone that you’re comfortable talking to (ex: mom, dad, close friend or even just a friend that you know you can talk to) they will probably understand you.
