What Home Means to Me

To me, home means more than just four walls and a roof. It is somewhere you can turn to when you are upset or in need of support. Sometimes home is not necessarily where you live. Home can be anywhere you feel protected, secure, safe, and trusted. A home is a place where you are welcome no matter how happy, sad, or mad one may be. A place where you can express yourself and not worry about being judged. There is no doubt that your home may change over time, but the memories you create there will last a lifetime. It all comes down to remembering how important family is. You might recall happy family memories or sad ones, but they will always serve to remind you of the importance of family. Home is like a warm embrace in the middle of a storm and like catching a breath of fresh air on a hot, humid summer afternoon. There is always something to look forward to from home whether it is a hug from your mother or the greeting of your pet. I find that the term 'home' is very meaningful to me, so I am glad that I can compose this paragraph that can help Habitat for Humanity as we can help many families like Charmaine and Melody, Sadie and her daughters, And many other families. By writing this, I hope to spread kindness and awareness. Let us use our compassion to create more action for the one thing that will never change, no matter where we are, we will always live on the same planet. I hope that we can work together to make this a reality, no matter where we are.
