Home is a Feeling

The English word “home”is from the old English word ham (not the pig), which refers to a village or a place where many “souls” are gathered. Home is not a place, it is a feeling where we can share our space, our joys and sorrows with our family. Home is where I grew up and where all my strength is born. Home is where a family stays. Under the roof of my home I feel warmth, comfort, protection and respect. Home is where family comes first, and everything is fair. I feel safe at home because we are all cared for at home. A home is strong, it is where I feel mindful and thankful. Even though there can be arguments but that is ok, all that matters is we are a family that is strong, and happy and we are all unique. Home to me means everything to me it means love. It means play. And that matters to me. A home is an escape from the outside world. We get energy and some sleep, play time and work then spend some time with family, and then we can go back outside the next day or later in the day with a fresh mind and in a good mood. It doesn't matter how big the home is, all that matters is that the house has love, safety and protection. And home is where my heart lives and stays forever. Some people aren't grateful for what they have but I am. Once again, I am so thankful for everything I have, and I have no regrets. My home is a big part of me and it always will be.
