The Meaning of Home

Home is not just a place where you live. Home is a place where you feel safe, protected and comfortable. When you go to someones home they always say "make yourself comfortable." I think people say this because they want you to be comfortable when you go to their home. Home is all about being comfortable where you are. Even though people say "make yourself comfortable" there is no place like your home. Some people don't have a home that that is why we are submitting our poems and writing to this contest. We think it is really important to raise money for those people who don't have homes. If all of us submit our poems we will raise $200 for Habitats for Humanity. If you don't feel safe in your home it is not a home. For a house to be a home you have to feel safe, protected, comfortable. You shouldn't feel scared to sleep at night, or scared at all. Some people can't feel safe or secure because they don't have a home. Everyone deserves to to have a place to call home.
