What Home Means To Me

What I think home means to me is that a home is a place where you can be happy and safe. I think for people who don't have homes I feel bad and sad for them. Maybe they don’t have good health or they are always hungry? A home is a place where I feel free and where I can sleep, play and eat! Some people don’t have siblings and for the people who do, I think they should be thankful that they have someone to play with. A home is where you can have joy and happiness and where you can have friends and family to keep you comfortable. What I like about a home is that you have food to eat and a warm place to sleep and if you can’t buy enough beds for everyone you can share a bed! Or if you have a sleeping bag you could sleep on the floor. A home is a place where you can share your feelings with your family. A home is a heartwarming place to be in! You should be thankful that you have a home instead of wanting cooler stuff like a Nintendo or a TV. People really don’t need those things. What people all need are homes to sleep, eat, grow, relax and have fun. Houses are wood, bricks, beams and cement. But this is not what a home is. A house might be a structure built but maybe no one lives in it. What makes it a home is what is in it. This means a home has love and a house has walls. Homes have dreams and hope, cozy blankets and a warm furnace that gives off warm heat. The most important thing is that homes are filled with the people that you love. A house is a place where it has no love, it is just a structure. In a home I hear words of kindness and support and good conversations. What I taste is soup and lots of other foods! That is what home means to me. By: BEN OROSZ
