The Meaning of Home

This is what home means to me. A house to me is walls and wood but a home means family, love, beliefs and dreams. In a home you make memories, good ones, bad ones, but you have made amazing memories since you were little and still more to make as you grow older. They could be big memories such as your first steps or where you said your first word, but it could be as little memories as your family watching a movie last Sunday night. In a home there is a family that believes in you and wants you to follow your dreams and for you to be happy. A family will support you no matter what you want to do or who you want to be in life. Your family will always want you to follow your dreams and want you to be happy no matter what and protect you at all costs. A home is a place where you make it feel like home instead of a house. Not just decorating it but by doing things such as household traditions, a special food that your family makes or even a movie night! These are the simple little things in a house that make it a home and make a difference for everybody in the family whether you notice it or not. Everybody deserves a home. Every single person on this planet deserves a home whether you are a millionaire or you don’t have any money at all, but sadly that is not the case. Everyone deserves a warm cozy place to call home but not everybody has that opportunity. That is why Habitat for Humanity is here and that is why I am writing this paragraph!
