What Home Means To Me

Home can be big or small Cabin or cottage Yet home is not about the size nor length nor width It's a feeling The Christmas lights glowing at night The lawn where I watch the moon beaming light The porch where the memories of outside dinners stay The fireplace where I sit after a cold winter day My two dogs trotting around making a mess The dinner table where i watch an intense game of chess The TV as i watch a movie while falling asleep The stairs which i find truly steep The lake where a dove glides across I love my home as unique yet messy it is My home That i hope never to let go
